What if you could reply to a work email hands-free while in traffic? Dragon Dictation by Nuance, makers of the widely-used “naturally speaking” desktop dictation application, have released a mobile version that lets you take advantage of its voice recognition software on your phone.
The software recognizes and transcribes your words, copies notes to the clipboard, posts updates to social media, and sends quick texts or emails from your phone. Voice-to-text transcriptions can be pasted into any application.
Like all apps, Dragon Dictation isn’t perfect – some users report occasional crashes, trouble identifying accents and complain it supports only one language at a time. However, it is consistently reported that it is a superb value for a free download application.
