Cyber-security experts across the globe are warning that a sophisticated new virus designed to use social media to spy on and collect banking details is loose on the Internet. The virus is what is known as a ‘banker’ virus designed to steal sensitive financial information that can then be used to steal money from its victims.
CaseCrunch, a recent AI startup founded by Cambridge law students, has won a challenge against 112 lawyers in predicting outcomes of claims with the UK Financial Ombudsman for mis-selling Payment Protection Insurance (PPI). The competition provided participants with factual scenarios for PPI mis-selling claims and asked for a yes or no prediction on whether the claim would be upheld.
In a sign of the growing presence of private cloud platforms, AbacusNext, a US private cloud vendor, has purchased document automation leader HotDocs.
HotDocs boasts a user-base of more than one million customers in 60 countries. It is expected that AbacusNext will integrate document automation into its products such as Amicus Attorney.
